a) Students of Arabic in universities,
b) Colleges of education and
c) Secondary schools; as well as
d) Public and private sector workers.
e) It also offers consultancy services in various areas of its specialisation.
Created alongside the Nigeria French Language Village (NFLV), Badagry and National Institute for Nigerian Languages (NINLAN), Aba, NALV runs the following programs:
1. Immersion programmes for university undergraduates;
2. Acculturation for students of colleges of education;
3. Intensive Arabic course for interested Nigerians;
4. Language transition services;

9. Diploma Programme in Arabic and
10. Consultancy services.
The school’s location is in Ngala, a town in Borno State , which shares borders with Chad and Cameroon. The Federal Government chose Ngala because its inhabitants and others around them are Shuwa-Arabs and native speakers of a dialect of Arabic. This was expected to be a boost for students as the case is with French Village , located close to Benin Republic . A part of the training is close and dynamic exposure to the speakers of the language and their culture, particularly during guided tours to the market place, the farms, surrounding towns and during social activities.
