TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS REGISTRATION GUIDELINES
The regulation of technical and vocational schools also falls under the auspices of NABTE. Each intending proprietor must review the standards as laid down by NABTE for the particular area of technical and vocational education and get its approval.
What most proprietors do however is first of all commence as an institution approved by the State ministry of education. At this level their certificates and diplomas are mere certificates of competence and attendance at the training and cannot be tendered for employment and or for admission into a higher institution. Students of such institutions write professional examinations to get qualifies and recognized. Thence, once the institution have attained a certain level of student enrollment, attained some level of professionalism and acquired some of the requisite infrastructure, the proprietors proceed to get the formal approval and recognition of NABTE.
